Coastal Dawn

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

With the arrival of morning light comes a mild warmth that spreads over the shoreline. There, a pelican is silhouetted against the dawning sky, captured in a silent moment of calm. The rising warmth serves not only to soften the cool air but also to accentuate the bird’s serene presence, anchored and sure.

Specific Feedback

Any feedback welcome.

Another nice look at a pelician. From your description, it turned out as described, though I could see a bit more brightness in the pelican as well.

Another unconventional wide-angle pelican image that works very well, Saundie. I like the pose and the slightly extended wing with the fringe light gives the feeling of sunrise nicely.

Yes, unconventional yet effective. You always seem to manage some nice clouds in these images. Critical focus on the head and beak looks good.
