Daffodil Portrait

From my garden this Spring. I’m trying to learn how to best “present” cut flowers for photographing, so any suggestions along those lines would be appreciated, as well as technical comments. Sony a77II, Tamron 16-300mm lens @ 27mm, ISO 100, f/22, 0.8 sec, tripod mounted using remote shutter release, lit from two sides at 45 degrees. A piece of black velvet was used as a background. All comments welcome and thanks for viewing.

Jim: A really nice capture and especially well lit. I do think you need more room on the right as the comp looks unbalanced and awkward to me. Good portrait technique. >=))>

Your set up and lighting seem to work well. The design of the flower arrangement needs to be more natural and could be combined with some leaves. Only a personal opinion.

Lovely flowers with nice lighting. Agree with Bill on centering the vase and the flowers.
