Pretty In Pink

Rhododendron shot in my garden back in April. I enjoy exploring the interior of flowers, especially large ones. Sony a77II, Tamron DT 16-300mm @ 300mm; ISO 6400, 1/60s, f/29, AWB, hand held. Cropped a bit from the right; adjusted exposure, vibrance, and clarity in ACDSee and converted from RAW. All comments and suggestions are welcome and thanks for viewing.

Jim: Nice job on this. I find these and azaleas particularly difficult to compose but I like what you’ve done here. :+1: :+1:>=))>

A difficult plant to isolate its flowers into a nice composition. You’ve done a admirable job of creating a good composition. A square comp with more room on both the top and bottom, might improve the image but that’s a personal preference only. Using a polarizer would reduce the shine on the leaves and emphasize the rain d rops.

@Patricia_Brundage, thank you for both of your helpful suggestions. I like those ideas!
