Description
We’ve been enjoying seeing seasonal rufous hummingbirds here lately and, when they are not at the feeders, sometimes they go over to our nearby dogwood tree. I caught this female anna’s investigating the blossoms.

The background looks fine with the dogwood blooms, Dave. One could wish for a little light on the face of hte hummer and the classic wings back position, but if wishes were fishes…
My kind of shot, Dave, a bird and flowers. Really nice. A small thing, but I could see cloning out the small twig on the left side edge-at least for me, it draws the eye and breaks up the effect of the flowers being a leading line to the hummer.
David, the color contrast between the red blooms and the blue sky stands out well. The tail up post of the hummer is a good extra as she adds “spice” to the scene.
Stunning as posted. I would be happy if this were mine. No hummers here yet in Virginia.
