Eurasian Dotterel

Hello all, after some weeks of traveling, I am back now and one of my first shootings was with one of my favourite birds: the Dotterel. I found two migrating adults (one male, one female) in full breeding plumage, which I had never before over here. Made quite some shots, this one I like because of the hint of the 2nd bird in the BG. Thanks for any feedback and have a wonderful weekend ahead, Cheers, Hans

Another beautifully executed shot. I, too, like the bird in the background. Of the others, my favorite is the head on, head tilted one.

Excellent, Hans. Detail in the main subject is perfect and I love the depth of field with that nice strip of habitat and the rear bird being well out of focus. The rear bird is perfectly positioned and adds a lot to the image.

Hi Hans,
Love the low shooting perspective here and being able to see the entire bird as well as some habitat. The bird in the background compliments the in focus bird nicely. Well done.

Very enjoyable looking at this shorebird. The light, perch, pose, and background are all magnificent. Good job with the point of view.
