Double reflections! Very nice. Beautiful warm tones and colors throughout the image. The catch light in the sandpiper’s eye as it is reflected in the water is amazing and the clarity and sharpness of the of the eye on the bird and reflection seem to hit the trifecta. An absolutely stunning image!
A very pleasing image, Antonello. Good detail in the sandpiper with a nice reflection. I like the colors in the water and the plant adds a nice element.
Beautiful image, Antonello! The bird has given you a lovely pose and of course, the reflection is a nice addition. I also like the catchlight. It really makes the bird come to life. The little pllant helps to balance and add interest.
I can see a bit of a magenta cast, particularly over the breast of the bird. I wonder if you would consider having a play with the White Balance. Changing the White Balance will also change the water, but not in a bad way.
Thanks @Todd_Grivetti , @Allen_Brooks and @Glenys_Passier for your comments! Glenys, I see the point of making the color palette warmer, probably I would opt for something intermediate between the original and your version, and working only on the Sandpiper… Thanks for the suggestion!
A wonderful image, as said above! It feels a bit dark – I wonder about lightening – maybe from the dark end of the histogram rather than overall exposure, using the Shadows slider or Curves. The magenta might be dealt with by lowering the saturation of just that color and/or bending its hue a bit.
Well captured image. I appreciate the work behind the photo as these well made photos without any distractions or unncessary objects in it are rare :).
A very lovely image, Antonello. I really like the low angle and the composition with the plant works very well. Not being familiar with this sandpiper, I wouldn’t hazard a guess on the white balance, but @Glenys_Passier version is also awesome.
Thanks @Dennis_Plank ! The “real” color balance is… in between, and really depends on the incoming light of course. I also like @Glenys_Passier version, I may try to put a repost with intermediate balance. Thanks you all! Always nice to chat and discuss about the images…
