I am curious what you think about the composition and if you see any processing issues. Any feedback welcome – recently moved from Fuji to Sony and this is one of the first images I’ve taken with the 28-70, so I’m still feeling my way around with the setup.

Chuq, I love the colors of golds and browns in this The nice curve of the stem on the sead head of the Thistle helps the composition. If it was mine, I might try to darken the stem in the background as well as the bright spot down at the bottom right edge, I find it pulling my eye slightly. A very nice image as presented.
Hi Chuq,
Very nice photo. I like how the plant is illuminated with subtle light from the left and the bokeh is very nice.
I don’t have a vast knowledge of plants, but I know this to be Queen Anne’s Lace. Normally they open to form an umbrella type top. This one failed to open before drying. I copied a URL below, if your interested in the looking at the different forms.
