Technical Details

Z9 600mm f4 (1/800 sec at f8.0, ISO 400) DeNoise in LR, Levels, softened up the BG with Gaussian Blur and removed snow covered branch with rubber stamp tool, crop for comp. I just softened up the snow covered branch with Gaussian blur for the junco photo…Jim

Both images are really nice, Jim. That’s a nice perch with a pleasant curve. I need to get out to my feeder blind soon.

Hi Jim, nice images with fine exposure on both. Nice details too. I like the curvy perch as Dennis stated. Minor nits to me are lack of any catchlight in the first image and I find the white band in the upper part of the second photo a bit distracting. These are still fine images though.

Nicely detailed look at both birds. Nice perch as well. I prefer the background with the nuthatch, as the whiteness is a bit distracting.
