Description

In my area, the first sign of spring flowers come out as clover. They pop up road side and in many front yards. They are electrically yellow and so bright in the sun.

Lovely light and a very nice composition, Youssef. I really like the depth of field with the background vegetation essentially abstracted. Very well done.

P.S. This is probably a Wood sorrel. there are a couple of very similar species that it could be. While the leaves look like clover, they’re actually in the Oxalis family, whereas clovers are in the pea family.

Youssef, you’ve got a fine mix of bright yellow and greens. The details in the flower, especially the stigma look great. I also like the mixed green/black in the surroundings. I do agree with @Dennis_Plank that this is probably a sorrel. They do have tree leaflets similar to clover but our clover doesn’t bloom until late spring/summer.

Youssef: Terrific spotlighting and just enough detail in the soft BG to be the perfect complement. Nice find and a fine comp and capture. >=))>

Youssef, this is a really eye-grabbing image. The dazzling yellow really pops against the dim BG and I really enjoy the detail, especially in the center. Nice composition too, where the flower seems to spring out at you from the right.
