Flying stamens

The pistils of the lilies have a beautiful color and a drop of water on there tips for attracting pollinating insects and leading them toward the stamens overflowing with pollen.

Great control of the depth of field, Gigi. I like the contrast in sharpness of the stamens and pistils with the rest of the image. I’m not quite sure about the overlap between the pistil and one of the stamens. I think you would have gotten a bit more tension if they just missed one another, but I could be wrong about that.

Gigi: I’ll echo Dennis regarding the small merge of the pistil and stamen but that’s a pretty small nit. Terrific plane of focus management and DOF choice. >=))>
