Going OOF

Sometimes your heart goes light after doing 10 different perspectives of the same subject in a season. I got a slight reflection from one of the wings of this emerald demslfly. Went down on my belly and came up with this backligt n reflections n iridescence?
I know its quite un-conventional. Increased the shutter speed to darken the scene a bit…

It may be un-conventional, but I like it Balan. The iridescence lighting and reflections are amazing. The sharp section holds my eye for a moment, then I trail up to enjoy the out off focus lighting and colors of light. Well done!

Balan, the colors in the wings are terrific. I’m not sure it’s optically possible because of the angles involved, but getting those wing diffraction colors and some of the thorax or eyes sharp would make an outstanding image.

I like the approach but like mark I too would like to see more DOF.

Balan: This is unconventional and all the better for it. This is the kind of image that makes me think and that is a good thing. Fine concept superbly executed. >=))>
