Allen, I am still a single shot photographer, so I am good with the falloff. The colors compliment each other well in this. I also like how the two leaves cross each other. Nicely done.
This one works fine for me! Focus and detail is where it matters and the falloff is artistically pleasing. The green color is wonderful, with its subtle variations, and works so well with the leaf color. As someone who can’t resist the chance to improve on nature (wimmin are like that) I would do some low-opacity cloning (or carefully-masked blurring) to soften the edge of the leaf in the lower right and the bottom edge of the stem, but that’s a very small suggestion for an already-wonderful image!
Allen: I’m not a huge fly fan but an image this good is marvelous. At heart I still love single capture and think the fall off makes this more artistic vs a completely focused subject that would be more documentary. Good choices and a fine result. >=))>
