Description

I visited the local state park pond this morning which is fortunately once again bringing in the birds. There were many green herons to see. The second image is during preening and thus the stray feather to the right.

Awesome!! Gorgeous captures with wonderful light and detail! I thought the stray feather was a bug he was about to lunge for. And that last one is priceless! Well done!

Another great series of a Green Heron, Allen. Until I read your description I thought this was one of your pet birds from your community lake. You caught some wonderful poses and behavior in this series. All the images are extremely well done.

Excellent captures all! Great positions and actions, very enviable for those of us who are becoming less flexible. Colours are perfect and the clear blue sky set them off superbly
