Hanging in there

I wanted to try bird photography again so used the tracking features in the camera trying to learn how it works. I have been watching YouTube videos about this.

Anything helps. Not sure about the yellow under the leaf, it was in all shots but should I remove that.

What a fun photo, Dean. Love the position and that you have caught him with the berry in his beak! As far as the yellow leaf, for me, it depends on how much it bothers you? And how much time you want to spend (cloning) removing it. It isn’t that noticeable to be, but would be interested in what other think. Great shot.

Thank you @linda_mellor as I am new to bird photography. I haven’t had much luck in the past so still learning. I may leave the yellow on the bird because I suspect that is from the tree this time of year. He was quite a ways so it is a big crop but I didn’t see any crop factor issues.

Hi Dean
I believe the yellow is coming from the two vertical leafs, just past the first berry and the lower leaf near the tail. You could try to use a HSL tool to rebalance the whites on the birds chest, that is if you have software that can select one color to rebalance. The photograph is nicely framed and shows good over color balance.

Thank you, Peter. I didn’t know if it was part of the bird or not. I have photoshop and Lightroom classic so that should be easy enough to do. However, I may just leave it there since it is part of the story.
