Happy Holidays

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

Imagine waking up on December 25th and seeing this guy sitting by the tree. Clark is our youngest Newfie and he’s always in trouble. After the last photo was taken, he promptly ripped the bow from his collar and proceeded to tear around the backyard.

Specific Feedback

This one should be good for a holiday card. How do you like the comp? A big dog deserves to wear a big bow (only for a minute or two!). Please let me what you think. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Technical Details

Z9 18-35mm at 32mm (1/400 sec at f10, ISO 1250) levels, DeNoise, Adjusted temperature more to blue, minus saturation of red, rubber stamp tool to remove dog drool (Yes, it happens!) and to edit out some distracting elements in the BG, Shadows & Highlights, Brightness & Contrast, bumped up blacks with Adobe Camera raw.

I’d probably ditch that monster bow a quickly as, Clark did, Jim, but it does make a fine holiday card. No nits from me except if you’re using any text on the card, you might need a bit more room for it.

I was hoping for Newfie photo. This one does not disappoint. Fantastic.

Jim, this is a wonderful look at Clark. A very fine dress up holiday scene for sure. Have a safe Holiday Season overall…

How adorable!! It will make a great card! Hope you did a video of the next few minutes…

I’m getting caught up with various chores around the house and with acknowledging comments and critiques at NPN. Thank you @Dennis_Plank , @Jim_Gavin , @Paul_Breitkreuz , and @Diane_Miller for your comments and critiques of my photo of Clark and to the @NPN_Editor for the EP . I also call him the Weewee because he is like a giant puppy full of fun. I did not get any video of his antics, but that might be a future project for another snowy day…Jim
