Folks,
Ive not been shooting of late due to some personal commitments. Will be getting back with the citters soon ( hope so) …thought I will say a Hi to all of you through this …
this is from the same lot that I had made earler ..and posted ..had given some importance to the comp
It’s all about the eyes, Balan, and you nailed it. I find them not so easy to get the lighting right on them. I have changed my diffuser several times because I didn’t like the reflection in the eye. I like what yours does here. For me though, the whole scene is too dark, but maybe that was your artistic intention. It definitely leaves it kind of with some mystery too it, and it is left to being about the eyes.
Balan, yup, the eyes have it! My first reaction was under-exposed, but that certainly adds a feeling of foreboding evil and menace; would certainly work as a flyer advertising the latest horror flick, . The lack of detail and context completes the composition. Well executed, but would like the name of this handsome fellow,
Shirley ..many thanks for your kind words…I sometimes tend to use a addition sheet of paper between the flash and the diffusing front sheet …again ..i depends on the lighting conditions as well
Overall, this one has a nice abstract feel to it and the focus on the eyes gets one thinking: Wow, I’m being watched! Overall comp is pleasing and the comp works well for me…Jim
Balan: The lighting and the comp work really well for me. The eyes are arresting and the light on them is terrific IMO. You are the spider master. >=))>
