Horned Spider

Folks, am still to ID this species. Its smaller than the regular three striped jumper. Wasnt easy to get a few frame. I was using the wrong combination

70-200+ 24mm Ext with a raynox.

Thought ideally should have used a 50 mm reversed with 24mm ext may be to get some depth.

Anyways, my photos are a bunch of experiments. I have used lighting ( novice) off cam flash with diffuser. Well it was just off the camera.

And thats a teak leaf dried. The location was amongst teak trees, with most leaves fallen and dried…

6D II, 70-200 F4L, 24MM ext, ISO 800, F18, 1/60

That’s the sort of sharpness my spider needs, Balan! I like the colour scheme here (leaf, spider, bg) and the angle you chose. I agree, a bit more depth would be better, but I’m the novice.

Balan, I would be very pleased with a shot like this. The eyes are nice and sharp to where I can see your camera’s reflection in his eyes! Very nice.

Hi Balan,

No nits from me. I like the hairs that are sticking up from the spider’s head. Eyes are perfect. Well done…Jim
