I can never pass up a Egret and Heron in one photograph.

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

When I saw this Egret stacked just a few feet in front of the Blue, I just waited for something to happen. The Egret was the first to leave, and the following frames just didn’t look good. Rocky State Park, May 11 at 8 AM.

Pretty cool, Peter. Now if they’d just given you the egret from the first and the heron from the second it would have been utterly perfect. Still, all the images are very nice with the second and third being my favorites.

Cool! Nice series - I’m partial to #2.
Great to get the two of them together.

Very interesting, Peter. I’m partial to the fourth one for some reason.

HI Dennis, Sandy & Don
Thank you for your comments.
Peter

Hi Peter, nice poses on each showing interesting interaction. I think I like #2 best. Nice frames.

Hi Allen
Thank you for the comment. It was interesting to see an Egret and a Blue Heron so close together.
Peter

What fun, Peter, to get both together. I’ll go with the second; there’s something of a mirrored symmetry between the two in this image. The setting with the rocks and water is pleasing as well.
