Hi Peter, What a nice vantage point you had for this shot. I usually have a view with the Osprey a good distance higher when I try to shoot one. Nice title too. The bird does look a little disappointed with its catch.

Hah! Good one!! I think it’s lovely sharp and detailed and would love to see a tighter crop to show off this great catch (for both of you)!

Hi Peter, a fine image of this osprey with it’s rather meager meal. I like this version with the osprey contrasting nicely with the muted background even though I could also see cropping in a bit as Diane suggests and see what you think. Nice details and view of the eye.

Matching color palette. Tack sharp bird standing out. With a catch. This again shows how experienced you are. Ospreys are becoming more common in Belgium and in the Netherlands too. So my hopes are growing to see one from close enough. Looking forward to your next post.

Peter: excellent detail in the bird which stands out so nicely against the muted background. The background isn’t particularly interesting so I think a crop would make the bird more deservedly prominent in the frame.

Nice close, eye-level look at the Osprey, Peter. The Osprey does appear to be contemplating its prey. Agree with the crop suggestions.

Haha!! Love the title! Nice detail. Maybe a tighter crop? Less sky. Nice work!

Very good, Peter. I love your background in this image and the pose of the Osprey fits the title very well.

Hi Stephen, Diane, Allen Sparks, Xavier, Richard, Allen Brooks, Christine & Dennis
Thank you for the kind words. I have been looking at the shot for a while, and I am glad I finally posted it.
Peter
Ps, Here is a repost with a bigger crop.
