Imm Common Black Hawk_III

Another in the series of shots I took with the immature Common Black Hawk. After extracting the crab and tearing into it’s first bite, the hawk discarded a small leg and tossed it away-visible mid breast. Thanks for viewing this sequence, I hope you found it interesting.

All comments welcome, thanks.

What an interesting pose. The head on look with the specific wing position is certainly different. The action captured in this (and the series) is really nice.

Very nice series. I agree this is certainly a different pose. The whole series would make a good moving gif.

Thanks to you both. David, I’ll ask you about that in a couple of weeks.

Technically superb and a very nice composition, Chuck. The pose is a bit awkward which adds to the youthful feel of the hawk.

Hi Charles, nice behavioral capture and I like the head on look. Good sharpness and well composed.

This is my favorite of your excellent series Chuck. Love the angle, look at the crab and the tension of the pose here.
