Into the fire #2

Here’s a view without any yellow flame. There is a bit of pale blue flame near the bottom center that either shows or disappears based on my choice of white balance parameters. (7D2, 180 mm Macro L, 1.6 s, f/18, iso 200, tripod, 2 sec delay, mirror lock-up)

This is working quite well for me, Mark. A real nice intimate look at the fire. No suggestions here.

Oh, Mark, I really like this shot. It is a really nice up close look at the coals aglow. I can’t think of anything you could do to improve this shot. The shapes and lines, the glow in places, just really makes this an excellent image. :+1: :+1:

It is quite difficult (for me, anyway) to get photos of coals, fire, etc as good as this and your first post. Both are excellent. Not sure how you got it so sharp at 1.6 seconds, but you certainly did. I’m not sure which I prefer. Like them both. Very nice.

Mark: I liked version 1 but much prefer this rendering. Fantastic abstract, especially considering the subject. Most excellent. >=))>
