Jagged Sand Art

Roosevelt Beach on the Oregon Coast is a favorite of mine. There are almost always interesting patterns in the sand. This time was better than usual.

Oh wow Chris, this is exceedingly beautiful! I absolutely love the shapes, the patterns, and the colours.

@Tom_Nevesely Thank you very much!

Looks like crystals from a cavern, Chris. Beautiful formation and wonderful detail. Nicely seen.

Very interesting pattern, indeed. I’m seeing castles!

Lovely - reminds me of a Chinese painting

@CharlesV @DeanRoyer @linda_mellor Thank you!

What a great subject for an abstract. You found very interesting patterns. It’s very gritty feeling to me, definitely like the sand it is. It reminds me of days with sand in our hamburgers from grilling at Lake Michigan.

@karlag Thanks for your great description.

Chris, this is a fine, find, where the grittiness adds well to the viewing even as it raises the questions in, “Is this a 3D view or a pattern left by the waves?”.

@Mark_Seaver Thanks, Mark!
