Another look at the young warbler. This one with a bit more habitat. Photo is cropped and has a couple things removed from edges.

Excellent plumage detail and I like your composition, David. Something I keep trying to remember to do and rarely do, is to refocus on the out of focus branches like you have in this image and take another shot with the same settings after the bird leaves. Then you can composite the two images and get more depth of field than a long telephoto can actually provide.
Very nice, David. I love the wet plumage, and you have great placement of the bird between the leaves and background branch. I like Dennis’s suggestion to get the other branches in focus, but it doesn’t bother me that much as is.
I might clone out the leaves on the left edge, and darken the very bright OOF leaves: one on the right side and the small one upper left. Those pull my eye a bit.
Thanks @Dennis_Plank, @Craig_Moreau. Dennis I think you may have mentioned that idea to me before and I got lost in the moment. I am going to try it though. And good ideas Craig. I like them. The problem I have is when to stop adjusting things. What was the second most eye catching nuisance now becomes the most eye catching sort of thing. I think that is one more reason to get critiques. Feedback is important.
