Description
Waiting this year for the catus flowers and now they are showing up. Been a cooler early spring so maybe that was one reason. This one I like the color contrast.

Dean: I really like the subject and the comp and the color of the flower. The harsh light is a little tough for me, acknowledging that this is where these guys live. I have a large (42") diffuser that I carry around when shooting in these conditions. It can be a bit of a bear to handle in windy conditions but they come in smaller sizes as well. >=))>
@Dean_Salman, I like the composition and subject matter. The warm light is nice, but I agree with Bill that it is a bit harsh. A diffuser could work well. But then again, it may also get rid of the shadows of the spikes, losing a sense of depth.
Once you are no longer in flower season, I recommend doing a macro of the spikes. The spikes can make for a great macro, especially in black and white!
