The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

As a family we had booked into a remote cottage for Christmas in an area of the country none of us had been to before.The stillness and lack of any touch by man was mesmerising and truly relaxing.Despite us being there as a family I liked to take myself off to wander around with no preconceived ideas and just explore.This was one late afternoon on Christmas Eve shortly before the sun set and we all enjoyed a BBQ under the night sky full of stars.

Technical Details

Taken with an elderly Nikon D3s and the Nikkor 24-70mm f/2.8 lens,at 1/100 second, f/9 at ISO 200, processed solely in Adobe Lightroom.

Welcome Neil, I do hope (and actually am pretty sure) you will enjoy this place. Beautiful light in your image lighting up the soothing natural colors. This is not your typical Christmas image, but I like the mood and the lack of any touch by man as you mentioned. You captured that very well. Thanks for sharing.

Welcome Neil. I really like the almost exaggerated warmth of this evening shot. It really captures the feel of that time of day. It also looks very painterly in a way. A very small nit would be to remove the very tiny cloud in the upper left. The bright one.
