Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

We have some gerbera daisies on our patio that are just starting their second round of flowers of the season. Looked out the window and spotted this guy showing off. >=))>

Specific Feedback

I love the details in the center of these flowers. I did have to boost the shadows a bit. Is there enough light and detail there?

This looks like a HAPPY flower!! Shadows are perfect, for my taste! And highlights, and mids, and colors and composition. (Did I leave anything out? ) A super portrait!

Bill, this is definitely a blast of eye candy. The tight focus on the central parts and your placement make this nicely dynamic.

Hi Bill,
Agree with Mark and Diane. This is lovely. I like the off-center composition, and I even like the hints of green background peeking in between the red petals. The center is nicely processed, no need to lift shadows more there in my humble opinion. I especially like the two curly petals on the left at 9:00. “Let’s get this party started,” seems to be their motto. The first pair on the dance floor every time!

Nicely done!
ML

Bill, I also agree with @Diane_Miller and @Mark_Seaver What a fine image. This also needs some wall space.
