Looking for breakfast

Kept watching this Vermillion fly catcher flitting out but, not catching anything. Finally took a breather. They are year round residents in Arizona and just great to see a bright red flash of color.

Love the colors here, Charlie. Great framing of the bird too.

What a cute little bird and to have them stay all year round is a bonus. Love the colors, the pose and the sharp features. Nice job!

Thanks. It’s great to every once and a while to get a shot that gratifies and not have to do much of anything to it.

Hi Charlie
The R6’s image quality on the feathers and reds is fantastic and by the way you did a nice job in framing this Vermillion Fly Catcher.

The bright colors are definitely the first thing that grabs my attention with this image, Charlie! Nice detail on the bird also. The only thing I would suggest for improvement would be to crop some of those ‘heavy’ branches on the left and maybe a little off the top (or bottom) to move the bird off center and balance the scene a little better.

Gary,
Thanks for the advice. Tried it and thought it appeared a bit cramped to me.
