More Jewels + Repost

More room for More Jewels

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The jewels have opened almost all the way around the crown. Shot this looking straight down with the flagstone of our patio as the BG.

Specific Feedback

Tried to get a POV that would mask the little mini-pot it lives in. I suppose I could go in and clone away some of the rim. Your thoughts?

Technical Details

Sony A77II
Minolta 200mm macro
ISO 400, 1/60 @ f8, 7 shot stack in Helicon Focus

The pot doesn’t bother me a bit, Bill. I do think a touch more room all the way around would be nice with all those blossoms pointing outward.

A beauty, Bill. I agree with @Dennis_Plank on more room.

Love the composition, Bill. The stacking really paid off here. I like the first image more, mostly because the expansion on the URC looks like a rectangle shadow. The more room helped.

The extra room is just perfect, Bill.

Wow! The mix of colors, spines and symmetry are great, Bill. The more room version does feel better (slightly more relaxing to view…) The oof blue/grey texture of the background (pot) fits well, although if I want to be super picky, a slight reduction in saturation/luminosity of the two blue blobs on the left would give you background matching on both sides.
