Description
The patterns in the bark originally caught my eye, but I was also attracted to the color palette and texture that looked like of layers of paint being peeled away.

Scott, this is a lovely bark pattern (Sycamore??) with a great variety of colors and tones. I’m enjoying the fine details in the largest view. Maybe a bit of edge burning of the brights on the left??

Thanks Mark, you are correct, it did need some burning, I reposted after doing so. Thank you for commenting!
This is a good one, Scott. I’m surprised at how well the phone handled it.
Thank you Don. I am pleasantly surprised at how well they do even in high dynamic range lighting. A couple years ago I was taking some sunrise photos in Tuscany with my Canon R5 and I decided to take a quick shot with my iPhone to post quickly on Instagram and out of the camera it was better than the R5 images straight out of the camera.
Scott: It’s pretty amazing to me how competent phones have become. I like this a lot and your refinements make an already fine image even better. Nicely seen, composed and presented. >=))>
Dear Scott, these are fascinating shapes, colors and tonalities. Well seen! To me, the area around the ‘A’ in the middle, lower part, is the most interesting part, maybe because the tonal contrast is biggest here. The left part of the image is a bit bright.
