No fly over rights

The upper Osprey had parked it self in a large maple around 100ft from its nest, when the lower Osprey came flying by.
This photograph was taken from the Zodiac on the Back River, Old Lyme, CT, on July 30, at 8:12AM. The full frame had the top of the maple in the lower right corner and it was a distraction, so I cloned it out and cropped the shot into something close to a 5/4. (Total crop around 5%).
Thank you for stopping by.

Canon R5, Canon 100-500mm & 1.4ext, f10, 661mm, -.3EV, 1/1600, ISO 500. I adjusted the shadows, contrast and exposure in DXO Photo Lab 5.

Very nice inter-action shot and the open beak and look of the upper one tells the story. Detail looks good in both birds. I’m curious, did you use auto-eye focus? If so, which bird did it lock on?

Nice composition, detail, and exposure. Good job getting them both in focus. And from a boat no less.
