This photograph was taken from the Zodiac, just behind the Ct. River, on July 15, at 8:38AM. There are a couple of nests in this section of the Back River and the Ospreys are very active.

Technical Details
Canon R5, Canon 100-500mm & 1.4ext, f10, 700mm, -3.EV, 1/1600, ISO 500. The shot is cropped by 30% and I used a DXO Photo Lab 5’s HSL color channel to color balance under the wings.

The diagonal arrangement of the wings fill the frame with room to spare. The head position provides a lot of interest for the viewer. You handled the difficult lighting very well…Jim
Great head turn, Peter. I really like the way the light falls on the face with most of the bird shaded. Great wing position as well. An excellent Osprey image.
