I had to look it up, but the Northern Mockingbird is the state bird of Florida. An interesting perch as is the tri-colored background. Nice pose, though could be a bit sharper.
I really like the composition and the crop looks fine, Steve. The background is very nice as is the pose. To my eye, both the perch and the bird look quite soft.

Hi Steve, this is a great composition. I love the background and the perch. The position of the bird in the frame works well too. I see the softness others have mentioned. Not sure if that might be intentional? Great image.
