To get all the parts and pieces of this scene I wanted to include, I opted to let the stem out the top edge and have the leave occupy the only location that it could. While I sometimes clean up the “bits and pieces,” this, they seemed to play an important part of the image without distracting—in my opinion!

I like the minimal colour scheme and the use of shapes with this one. I like the stem at the top but I would crop off some of the bottom. I like it, but I feel there is too much of a disconnect between bottom section and the leaf as it is. Well spotted.
