I find lotus pods fascinating but hard to image in a pleasing manner. I found this group attractive.>=))>

Specific Feedback

My goals with this comp were to show the progression from fresh head to fading stages with the DOF falloff aiding that perception. Do you see that as well or just wishful thinking on my part?

I think this is a good image for illustrating the life of the seed pods, Bill. It certainly isn’t as artistic as most of your images, nor as downright beautiful, but it serves it’s own purpose and photography is, in addition to pretty pictures, a means of communication. This image accomplishes that quite well.
