Image Description

I’ve submitted this before but thought I might post again for this challenge. When I posted it previously the universal opinion was that the tracks were contributing to the image in a positive manner. >=))>

Taken at White Sands when it was still a national monument and just after entering the park in the late afternoon. Was one of the first images I took and perhaps my favorite from the trip.

Bill, oh yes, I recall this fine image from before. As last time , works as presented very nicely. The very lengthy individual shadow casts really make the scene. A perfect WC “sand” story here.

Super cool! Wonderful you spotted it and captured it so well!

I too remember this view, Bill. The whites look great and with the lines in the sand setting off the lines of the shadows. I see beetle tracks (with all the dots) and worm tracks (the thin, continuous lines). Beetles are not surprising, but what do worms do in these dry conditions???

This is very cool, Bill. I remember seeing this image as well and took some similar images at White Sands. The tracks seem to be everywhere in the morning. Processing looks very good on this image with nice shadows helping show the ripples in the sand and bringing out the tracks.
