Athabasca Glacier, Jasper NP, Canada
I’ve been doing some hard drive excursions, editing and purging and thought I would post this one from our Canadian Rockies trip in 2016. This is an HDR blend so comments regarding that are most welcome. Thanks for taking a look. >=))>
Excellent Bill. This almost has a 3D look to it; and with that foreground ridge, some depth is created as well. Just a fascinating combination of elements too, including the fog - either about to engulf the scene, or it’s clearing out. I also thing the heavy snow up top adds another strong element. More like a glacier on top of a mountain, rather than in a valley between mountains. cool.
Processing looks good and natural too.

A wonderful scene, Bill. The composition feels very well balanced to me. I do think that beautiful rock face filling the left could use just a bit more punch-it feels rather flat to me. I agree with Lon that the fog adds a lot to this image. I also like the touch of spotlighting on that mound way out there in the center.
