Raindrops on Blue Grama

This seed head of Blue Grama (Bouteloua gracilis) was still holding it’s seeds, which is why it straight when I found it after a brief rain shower. Finding the working distance to get the seed stalk sharp and see the refracted image in the drop resulted in very wet knees. I couldn’t get the full stalk sharp because the seed head was angled slightly.

Worth wet knees, I would say, Mark. This is an excellent image.

Mark: Wet knees dry out so a small price to pay for such a superb capture. I like how you got the seed head sharp and the refractions in the drop. Most excellent.>=))>

I like the angle of the seed head to the stalk, Mark. It makes for a great composition. The drops also add a lot to the image.

Simplicity and carefulness. Wonderful shot!

Mark. So simple…so effective.very well seen
