Really nice image here Allen.
The lighting is wonderful. Excellent detail and color on the bird.

Stunning! Tonalities are perfect with detail in the rich darks and gorgeous reds. My only hint of a suggestion is to wonder about a gradient darkening from the LL corner as it feels a bit disconnected from the rest of the BG. Looks easy enough to select ant tweak. But wonderful in any case!

I get a strong feeling of exuberance from this shot - super light and detail. I can hear him in my head. The divided colors along the branch give a little more energy (as if he needs it!) and the X shape of the bird and perch work quite well. The blacks look rich without being blocked. Excellent job.

Visual notes based on the original image:

Well done, Allen. I’m immediately struck by the great light on the blackbird. Excellent detail and nice singing pose. Great background as well.

Gorgeous light on this bird, Allen. I like the pose as well. I would probably bring down the black plumage a bit, despite it showing off the golden light.
