Description
There is about a week when the redbuds have opening flowers with small leaves, and I always hope to find a composition or two. I’m usually most pleased with a stack and that demands getting out early before any breeze comes up. I got lucky with this one.
Specific Feedback
All comments welcome! I’m curious if the limited DOF works for people. I love both the sharp detail of stacking and the sharp against soft look, and I feel I got a decent balance here.
I love the depth you have achieved with this one Diane. This is drop dead beautiful. Great focus on the right places. Great fade to the back. Great colors. Beautiful. A wall hanger for sure.
This is sweet, Diane. I like the composition a lot and the single flower in crisp focus with the rest fading to the back works very well. If you have the pixels (or took other shots), I could see a composition with just the three leaves in the lower left.
Diane: I love redbuds. We have a number of different varieties in our garden and I like to hunt comps like this as well. As an almost extinct single capture guy I also love selective focus and I also love how you can isolate separate elements with a stack. Overall this is a marvelous effort and a superbly crafted image. >=))>
