He sure gave you a great pose and eye contact!
Nice reflection too.
Richard., there are a few areas where the blur didn’t work very well, and blurred part of the leopard -(hard to evaluate at this smaller size) - a few areas along the outline of the back and tail, and the ears. Can’t tell if that right ear on the leopard was moving, or if the blur did it in. or maybe it’s a light blob behind the ear?
A little clean-up and this will go from great to excellent!

I totally agree with Sandy’s review here, Richard. This is a wonderful image and what a gorgeous cat. The blurring of the BG is an excellent idea. It helps keep the focus on the main subject of the cat…
There are areas primarily on the cat here and there that are also blurred? The right ear & lower back looks like BG blur got to it maybe. Does the snout or muzzle look blurred too?
Some of it might be do to movements or possible muscle twitches and or flicking by the leopard. You might review the original and verify those points. Regardless, an excellent scene and hopefully the blurs on the big cat were not movements. Maybe some repair thru cloning if the original shows actual cat movements…
I agree with @SandyR-B, and @Paul_Breitkreuz on the blur being a really good idea, but needing a bit more refinement Richard. The leopard’s relaxed repose is great, colors and details are really nice. Its too bad the reflection doesn’t capture the eyes very well, looks like water motion there. Nice look at a beautiful cat.
Love the fluid pose and reflection !
One needs to select the BG carefully before applying the blur, in the BG there is different degree of blur around the frame.
Sandy, Paul, Ed and J: thanks to all for taking the time to comment and to Sandy in particular for noting the blurs which escaped my attention.
I’ve posted a revised photo with hopefully better control of the blur feature. I also changed the tonality a bit to reflect the fact that the leopard was in shade. Thanks again, Richard
