Ok, let’s just start with, I believe, this series of photograph comes under the title of the action is worth the critiques. The standoff between these two Big Blue takes place on the Four Mile River in East Lyme, CT, Sept. 12, at 8:08 AM. The sun is very low and producing a high contract kick off the water and mud. The Herons are also back light and standing on the down slope of the river. I will show you the RAW full frame of the last shot, to give a look at were I started from.

Canon R5, Canon 100-500mm f10, 700mm, +1.3 EV, ISO 2000-3400. The cropping is between 50 and 55%. Shot were adjusted in Nil Collection, Viveza 3.
