![ Great Blue Heron]
This year I have seen twice the number Great Blue Heron in Old Lyme, CT. It has been a joy to watch the juvenile working the mud flats. I photograph this Blue from the Zodiac at 7:30AM on Aug. 1, on the Back River in Old lyme.
Thank you for stopping by.

Excellent, Peter. Beautiful detail in the heron with a nice wing position. I love the background.
Hi, Peter, very appealing shot of the heron. I like the wings just above the water and it’s nice to have a background like this for a bird in flight. Looks as if you had some nice light as well.
I see you are using the sigma on your R5. Do you find the autofocus is better than when the lens was on the 7D?
Hi
Thank you for the comments.

My 7Dll had better autofocus then my 7D and the R5 is 2 time faster then the 7Dll and more accurate in tracking. The other major difference is the dynamic range and detail.
