Description

A couple of times a year here it’s possible to see rufous hummingbirds migrating thru here. I was fortunate to see and photograph this handsome male out on our deck. He was arguing with a resident anna’s over the drinking rights.

Great pose from the rufous, Dave. Nice catch of a passer-by. They’re pouring into our place now and the feeders are mobbed with both Anna’s and Rufous.

Interesting. We are no longer seeing refocuses but are really being inundated by lots of anna’s coming in.

Great pose on the rufous, Dave and the gorget is really nice. Good interaction shot between the two species.
