Description

During our trip to Alaska in 2017 we took a cruise on a small ship (60 passengers) and spent a couple days exploring Glacier Bay. This is one of the islands along the way that supports a colony of mountain goats. Apparently when the glacier receded the goats were left stranded on the island but since no predators were similarly isolated the goats have thrived. I suppose the only real danger posed for them is slipping off the cliffs. Spotted this guy as we sailed by. He seemed unperturbed. >=))>

Specific Feedback

Is the goat too small in the frame? For my tastes he sticks out enough from the environment to command a glance.

I love this one, Bill. No, the goat isn’t too small. I can’t think of any criticisms or suggestions.

Bill, the goat stands out well with it’s lightness against the dark rocks. This looks like very typical Mt. Goat habitat. There are a couple of spots in Yellowstone with steep rugged mountains like these where goats are seen routinely… at long distance.
