Bubbles make great macro subjects, of course you do need to like what shows in the reflection, 
, Dan. The clarity in your conversion stands out in the larger version. Going b&w also emphasizes the shapes. A fine bubble portrait.

Dan: Nicely conceived and carried off. I might be inclined to crop some of the ULC, mostly from the top to get rid of the open area and make this a near pano. Most excellent.>=))>
As good as the details and exposure are, for me the terrific comp is the key. It brilliantly sets the stage for discovery of all the other elements. I could spend a long time poring over it!
