Description
Here is another composition from my beach walk. It is the last photo I made that day but its not the last one I will share. My last one to share is coming next, which will make sense in a couple of days.
This composition is not as refined as the previous one, the stone is rougher, the lighting is not as sublime, the color has shifted as the sun got closer to the horizon. But, what caught my eye, even from afar as I walked up to this stone was the sinuous sand pattern carved by the retreating water. Further, I was fascinated that the shape of the sand pattern was also in the image i will share next, but had nothing to do with sand.

You had an incredibly productive day on the beach, Youssef. I love the curve of the main line on this one, and the light was still beautiful. The stone makes an interesting focal point and little side channels under it help focus the initial attention there before following that lovely curve.
Youssef: This comp certainly works for me. Still some marvelous light and enough shadow and texture to make this special. Exceptionally well seen IMO and superbly captured. >=))>
Wow! Thank you Bill! I was not expecting an EP for this photo. It has always been strange to me that the photos I like best, most of the the time, are not the photos that seem to garner the most attention by others. I don’t think I will ever find a reason for that. But thank you!
Well, this one certainly resonates with me!! Elegant shapes, lines and light! (Can’t wait to see the next one!) This is seriously wonderful – congratulations on the EP – very well deserved!
Youssef, this is a beauty! The sweeping curve through the sand, with it’s tendrils makes a very dynamic view. Then it leads to that colorful and nicely striated stone. All that is enhanced by the golden light.
Also for me this photo is the more interesting of the tree. It’s a very good image and it’s almost impossible to find something for an improvement. A little thing? The dark triangle in the upper part of the curve line ruins a bit the undulation of the line in the sand; for me of course.
