About This Image

Combination of two of my favorite subjects; water lilies and dragonflies. Taken at the Lowe’s Water Gardens in Spring, TX. One of my favorite haunts as well. Sometimes the fauna cooperates with the flora. >=))>

Had to make a lot of specular highlights go away and unfortunately I didn’t have a polarizer on board to tame some of the most egregious highlights.

Lovely capture - subjects position is great - unusual pose and nice complementary background.

Sunny days are very difficult and I can see and appreciate the work you have done with the highlights. If you sacrifice some of the lily with a crop and make it just about the dragonfly you might reduce their distraction.

Dont know anything else to suggest -you have processed as much as you reasonably can I think

lovely composition though

Bill, the combination of DF and lily flower looks great. That is one hot Blue Dasher, showing off the obelisk position. As the position should, the df is somewhat subdued do to the shadowing. Might be worth a bit of mid-tone dodging to brighten up the DF although it’s darkness does let it stand out. Overall, the brightness speaks well of a sunny day at the pond.
