The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.
Description
Skippers are pretty common in our garden although most are the yellow variety. They are manic feeders and flyers so one may have only two or three seconds to get off a shot or two. This little guy was enjoying the lantana and I was able to get off some bursts. >=))>
Specific Feedback
Could not get the plane of focus parallel with the wings so had to settle for the head and eye being sharp. Enough DOF?

This is a very bold image Bill. Gorgeous greens and yellows and that hot pink as well.
The DoF looks fine to me. His/her eyes and hairy head are well in focus, and, for me that’s the important part. I like the diagonal composition and wonder if there is another version with a bit more breathing room?
I agree with Glennie about breathing room, esp along the top (if possible). And I would like to see the forewing sharper; either f16 (next time!) or LR’s adjustment brush could (have)help(ed). You see, your other lantana visitor has made me hypercritical of this!
Your Lantana are serving you well! There is enough DOF for me here. Once in a while I appreciate a limited DOF and you have good sharpness here where most needed. My vote for more room on top too, but you are the artist!
