Snow Geese

Critique Style Requested: Standard

The photographer is looking for generalized feedback about the aesthetic and technical qualities of their image.

Description

The snow geese are starting to return to the Skagit River Delta. Thought I’d look back for an older image while I wait for the masses to return. This was taken nearly 3 years ago and is a small portion of the mass of birds at this small field.

Always an amazing sight to see these birds take off like this and it is well captured, Steve. Sharp and whites and blacks look good.

A nice mob shot of these, Steve. I haven’t been up there in too long. Maybe I’ll try to figure out a trip this winter.

This kind of shot is always interesting, but very hard to pull off as a really eye catching image, mainly because there’s rarely a focal point for the eye to start at. That said, I think they (and that includes this image) probably would make very good wall art for just that reason.

Hi Steve, very nice group capture. Has a bit of an abstract look to it when viewed as a whole. Nice sharpness throughout on the birds and fine exposure. Well done.

@Allen_Brooks, @Dennis_Plank and @Allen_Sparks, thanks for your comments!
