In January, 2018, I spent three days with a group of NANPA members touring Yellowstone National Park. Day one was heavy snow, day two and three were clear, well below freezing. It was one of the best trips of my life.
This is a hill with a heavy amount of snow. Behind it was several hot pools generating steam, and the sun was farther behind that, of course. The subtle flows of the snow combined with the steam creating shadows, made this a great subtle abstract for me.

David, the most striking part of this view is the uniformity of grayness. The subtle changes in that grey make for a very striking and interesting view.
Awesome abstract, David! I love snow, winter is my favorite season and I think you captured it beautifully! It looks so peaceful and pristine. I also like that you went to a popular place and came up with your own unique image!
